ICC-India: The Indian Campaign on the International Criminal Court.ICC

A campaign called ICC-India was started in the year 2000 as a premier project for carrying out an awareness and advocacy campaign in India on the issue of International Criminal Court. The International Criminal Court (ICC) is the first permanent international judicial institution capable of prosecuting   individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes when national courts are unable or unwilling to do so.

About the ICC

Since November 2002, ICC- India has been an activity of the Justice and Accountability Matters (JAM) - a programme of WRAG. It works through a nation-wide network of organizations and individuals committed to justice and accountability for mass crimes, and with a conviction to end the prevailing climate of impunity. The Secretariat of ICC-India is  located within WRAG. It is a member of the New York-based NGO Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) and the Asian Network for ICC.  For more details, please see brochure
